Speak no Evil tells the story of Renny Becker, and his chaotic and unpredictable journey to embrace and discover more about himself. https://speaknoevilcomic.com/ ABOUT THE AUTHOR + Speak no Evil While I've always loved art, it was only seven years ago that I decided to dedicate myself to the creation of it full-time. During my journey as an artist, I created a character for a throwaway game that I wanted to try making for fun. I absentmindedly drew a white rabbit with tired eyes and no mouth. The weight of game development intimidated me and turned me off from the idea of making a game, but I was incredibly attached to the protagonist I created for it. I liked him so much, I kept him, and gave him a name: Renny. Afterwards, I started to think about what Renny was like--what did he do, who were his friends, who is he? As I considered these things, I paid attention to the design I gave him. Specifically the fact that he has no mouth. At first it was purely stylistic; he had a "mouth" and could speak and eat like any of the other characters. But one day I thought, what if he actually didn't have a mouth, and what if he actually couldn't speak? And that's when the true story of Speak No Evil began. As an artist, I never imagined I would be making a story. But from then on in 2021, everything I've created for Speak No Evil has grown into something that has pulled a level of dedication and passion from me like nothing else before it.
