Hello! My name is Eddio and I'm creating a visual novel called Killigan's Treasure. Set in the land of Canavar, you play as a bull-like barbarian named Killigan Stoneworth, determined to follow a treasure map his late father bequeathed to him with his dying breath. He meets several companions along the way that join him in his quest for unimaginable riches, and who can even become more than companions, if you desire. Killigan's Treasure follows an overarching plot at heart, but you CAN choose to pursue a relationship with certain companions (All relationships are currently M/M). Each of them has their own backstory and events that tie back into the overarching plot, so you don't miss out on any story-critical information just for pining after a partner. Cool, how often are updates? There'll be 1 demo update per month (one for patrons, one for the public), occurring in the last week. This can range from 1 day of ingame content to several days worth of content...or even just one dialogue-heavy part of a plot-critical event. Either way, the goal is that each update will add around 30 minutes to an hour+ of content. All patron tiers ($1+) will have access to the patron-exclusive build, containing the latest polished content update, featuring and further progression in the story or a particular route, or even fully tested new features. The public build will lag one build behind, but contain bugfixes and typo corrections from the previous patron build. ...And it's also, y'know, free. Those with higher patron tiers will be able to see WIP assets, the ability to offer input on adult scenes, or even gain access to the rougher quality testing builds, all on the Discord server! Some non-spoilery WIP assets and polls will be posted here, on the patreon page. What does patronage go towards? Living expenses, primarily. A constant income would allow me to dedicate the majority of my time towards creating more content. Beyond that, it'd go towards commissioning unique music tracks to replace royalty-free ones and add to the overall feel of the VN.
